July 20th – Boston Poet Trevor Byrne-Smith
Port Veritas hosts Boston poet Trevor Byrne-Smith at the North Star Café in Portland on Tuesday July 20th at 7 PM. Open reading begins at 7:30pm with the feature beginning at 8:30pm. $2 cover.
Born on the distant planet “New Jersey,” Trevor Byrne-Smith grew up in Warwick, Rhode Island, and has spent the majority of his life living in various different parts of southern New England. He has been a member of the 2003 Providence Youth Poetry Slam Team, the 2005 and 2006 Providence Slam Teams, and the 2007, 2008 and 2009 Worcester Slam Teams. He has self-published three chapbooks:With the Ghost of Joe Strummer(Out of Print),What Kind of Day Has it Been, andThe Death Card.
